Programmed a key to a 2024 Hummer EV yesterday. GM would rather you tow the vehicle to them and wait for service, which may take several days, than allow a professional auto locksmith to do the job and get you back on the road expeditiously. They have designed it so the locksmith must pay for access to their software and then adds a ridiculous 2-hour wait for the use of the software. While the Right to Service Act prevents the manufacturer from allowing service professionals from doing the job, they have made it difficult and more costly for people who buy their vehicles. What a shame!
