This pine tree is clearly infested with southern pine beetles. It will kill a pine tree in 7-10 days easily. The tree goes from solid green to entirely brown that fast. Please realize that spraying a dying pine with an insecticide usually doesn’t work. You will probably not be able to reverse the course of tree death. Once your pine tree is suffering so much that it appears dying, your best option is to simply remove it. Insecticides or fungicides will not help it recover. Even worse, beetles can then infest compromised trees and effect neighboring pines.

The best thing to do when you have a tree that needs to be removed is to call a professional to come and perform the service for you. This is far too dangerous for the average homeowner to attempt on their own and, when not done correctly, tree removal can cause a lot of damage to your property.

We can’t stress enough that you should never give payment upfront for tree service. We will not mention the local companies name but there is a tree company that continues to steal money from the elderly and the uninformed. If a company comes along, research for reviews. Past customer reviews can say a lot about a company.
