What started as a vision for creating exceptional outdoor spaces has grown into a commitment to quality, craftsmanship and lasting relationships.
For Rivertown Landscapes founder Mike Mlnarik, that vision began more than 40 years ago. After graduating from Michigan State University and gaining experience with several landscape companies, he helped build an award-winning residential landscape business before stepping away to spend more time with his family. But his passion for landscaping never faded.
In 2004, Mike started Rivertown Landscapes with a Bobcat, a dump truck, a tree spade and a small crew that included his two sons and friends from church. That first year, the team completed just a handful of projects. Today, Rivertown has grown into a full-service landscape company with dedicated design, installation and maintenance teams, all committed to creating outdoor spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.
One of the biggest lessons Mike has learned is that great businesses are built on great people. By trusting his team, continuing to learn and focusing on long-term growth, he has created a company that serves clients well while allowing time for what matters most, including his favorite tradition, "Fishin' Fridays" with his grandchildren.
Every project is unique because every client is unique. Rather than relying on the same designs or plant combinations, our team creates landscapes that complement each home's architecture, reflect each client's lifestyle and provide spaces where memories are made for years to come.
When clients see their finished landscape for the first time, our hope is simple: that it exceeds everything they imagined.
