This is what can happen when a retaining wall is built based on the lowest bid instead of proper installation. Unfortunately, we see projects like this every year that require a complete tear-out and rebuild.

Well, well, well…

Here’s what happens when a retaining wall is built based on the cheapest bid. This is after just one winter. This is a information post to help anyone that may be looking for hardscapes this year.

We’re not saying you need to choose the most expensive option—but choosing the right company matters. Understanding the process, materials, and proper installation techniques is everything when it comes to hardscapes that last.

What an amazing project we completed last year!

For this backyard transformation, we installed Unilock Beacon Hill in Fossil with a Unilock Premier Charcoal paver border, creating a beautiful and durable patio space. What an amazing Aquascape hands-on seminar! It even happened to fall on my birthday, but honestly I wouldn’t have spent it any other way. 🎉

Before ➡️ After

When the homeowners moved in, landscaping wasn’t included in the original build. The yard had that unfinished, sandy and patchy look that many new construction homes start with.

We stepped in and helped bring the property to life.
