A lot of people wonder how plumbing fits in with excavation and directional drilling. Well… a recent customer is a pretty good example.

They were finishing their basement when they noticed something wasn’t right. Flush one thing, and everything else gurgled. Our plumbing team came out to investigate and found the line beneath the basement was clear.

Then they ran their snake cam into the exterior sewer line...

Completely full of water. And, well… some other stuff. 💩

Your exterior sewer line is buried deep underground, and when the problem is somewhere between your house and the main sewer or septic system, you’re not getting to it with a shovel. In fact, excavators are typically the ones installing those exterior sewer lines in the first place.

For many plumbing companies, this is the point where another contractor has to be called.

For us... It was time to bring in some bigger equipment. 🚜

And this particular project turned out to be anything but straightforward. Having plumbing and excavation under one roof meant our crews could keep investigating, problem-solving, and working together until we figured out what was really happening underground without leaving the homeowner to coordinate multiple companies and endure weeks attempting to determine the best solution.

Sometimes your plumbing problems don’t stop at the foundation. Good thing we don’t either. 😉
