Not every gutter install is straightforward.

This cabin made us work for it. A steep-pitch metal roof, angled fascia, and varying roof-panel overhang required some extra problem-solving to get the seamless steel gutter positioned where it needed to be.

We finished it off with Premier Gutter Cover, working it underneath the metal roof to help keep debris out and provide a smooth transition for Alaska’s winter snow.

And because it wouldn’t be an Alaska job without a little weather, we had rain and a muddy dirt road to go with it. 🌧️

It’s all part of the Ever Dry Difference.

Some want to keep up with the Joneses… we just wouldn’t always recommend copying their shingle lines. 😏 🌊

Take a peek at the neighboring roof and notice how the shingle lines can appear to wave.

Since the roof we were replacing wasn’t perfectly uniform, we measured and established a straight reference line rather than simply following the roof edge. The result? Nice, straight, consistent shingle courses. 👀

It’s the little details that make up the Ever Dry Difference.

Chicago was only the beginning.

Our next stop was KWM Gutterman Inc., where we picked up their new Max Profile seamless gutter machine.

We know… right now it just looks like a really well-built steel crate. 😂

We can’t wait to get it back to Alaska, uncrate it, and show you what’s inside.

A big thank you to the KWM team for the great customer service and for packaging everything so securely for the long trip home.

This roof replacement included more than new shingles. We rebuilt the framing to create proper airflow, then installed new vented soffits so the new roofing system can perform the way it was designed.

Think of the new soffits as a breath of fresh air for your roof, and a facelift for your curb appeal. 😎

Sometimes the best part of a new roof is the part you’ll never see. On this project, that part got an upgrade. 👀

Ice and water shield is a waterproof membrane that helps protect your home from leaks. It’s typically installed only in the most vulnerable areas of a roof, while the remaining roof is covered with synthetic underlayment.

For this project, the homeowner chose to upgrade to 100% ice and water shield for added protection across the entire roof.

We’re excited to share more of this transformation in the coming weeks and show what The Ever Dry Difference looks like from start to finish.

A huge thank you to another Palmer homeowner who found us through a Facebook recommendation and trusted us after wind damage tore off several shingles.

We replaced the damaged shingles on one side of the shed, and we’d say it cleaned up pretty nicely! 😍
