Oh my goodness!!! This is our newest member. Lucky 🍀 was trapped in his egg. After carefully removing the brand new duck Lucky spent the first few hours in the heat.

By morning he was ready to go to the broody box. He loves it there during the day despite being the only one there.

At night he has a small little box that he sleeps in.

Big news over here at Double R Farm… 🌿✨

I finally took the leap and opened my Etsy shop! 🛍️
Right now I have my very first products listed — a tote bag and a garden flag — and honestly, hitting “publish” felt both exciting and terrifying. 😂

For years I’ve talked myself out of trying new things because I wanted everything to be perfect first. But I’m learning that growth happens when we start before we feel fully ready.

This little shop is another step toward building a simpler, more intentional life filled with creativity, homesteading, financial freedom, and multiple streams of income for our family. ❤️

Some people dream of a peaceful evening… meanwhile at our house I’m being claimed by a rescue duck and supervised by a dog who fully believes she helped hatch him too. 😂🦆🐶

Lucky the duck had to be helped out of his shell, and now Chevy has decided she’s his adoptive momma. Everywhere I go, these two aren’t far behind. Honestly, this is the kind of chaos I wouldn’t trade for anything. ❤️

Homestead life isn’t always picture perfect… sometimes it’s muddy boots, animal cuddles, and a dog protecting a duck like it’s her full-time job.

Who else has animals that have adopted each other in the weirdest way possible? 👇😂
