Happy 4th of July, Wyoming & Happy 250th birthday, America.
Today marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and on the whole crew at Aspen Mountain Plumbing, we want to take a moment to honor the American pioneers, innovators, and builders who made modern plumbing possible.
In the late 1800s, Elwood Mead walked into a water situation that was, to put it politely, a frontier free-for-all, where paper claims on streams soared far beyond anything the water could actually carry. And he brought order out of that chaos.
He wrote most of Wyoming's water law and got its core principles written straight into the state constitution when Wyoming entered the Union on July 10, 1890, just six days after the nation's birthday.
We wrote a full feature profile on Mead to help you learn more about this true American pioneer.
A special 4th of July tribute from Aspen Mountain Plumbing in recognition of America's 250th birthday.
