This highly specialized water treatment unit arrived piece by piece: one red control cabinet, four pressure gauges, three flow meters, a membrane housing, a sediment filter, and an electronic control system.

Its destination was an off-grid home about 45 minutes outside Rock Springs, Wyoming, where the nearest municipal water line had nothing to do with the problem.

The home relied on a private well. That well carried mineral-heavy groundwater from beneath the property and delivered it directly into the plumbing system. Ordinary filters were not built for what the water test revealed.

Finding the plumber who could turn separate components into one working system was the harder part -> The homeowner called Aspen Mountain Plumbing.

We installed the chemical injection system, the reverse-osmosis equipment, and the sediment filter with its own drain. The water treatment unit combined an integrated sediment filter, membrane housing, pressure monitoring, flow controls, recirculation, and an electronic control system inside one steel frame.

The completed installation changed the room. What had started as a water entry point with basic filtration became a dedicated treatment area built around the demands of a private Wyoming well.

Happy 4th of July, Wyoming & Happy 250th birthday, America.

Today marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and on the whole crew at Aspen Mountain Plumbing, we want to take a moment to honor the American pioneers, innovators, and builders who made modern plumbing possible.

In the late 1800s, Elwood Mead walked into a water situation that was, to put it politely, a frontier free-for-all, where paper claims on streams soared far beyond anything the water could actually carry. And he brought order out of that chaos.

He wrote most of Wyoming's water law and got its core principles written straight into the state constitution when Wyoming entered the Union on July 10, 1890, just six days after the nation's birthday.
