We are loving this view of our demonstration pond today. A special shout out to the eastern star sedge ( Carex radiata) for making the pond edge look so magical! This plant makes a wonderful ground cover for areas that are part to full shade. We have it planted where a building blocks the harsh end of day sun, which helps it to stay green year round.

We aren't at the farmers market today, but we are open from 9am to 4pm today at 1416 6th ave in Rock Island. Stop by to talk native plants, enjoy the scenery or if you need any help designing your native plant garden.
We just got 28 new species signs with pictures and descriptions! So come check them out!
We will also be selling plants tomorrow at Marketplace at 2500 at 2500 53rd ST, in Moline from 9 am to 2 pm.

We may not be at the farmers market today, but the nursery is open at 1416 6th Ave in Rock Island, and Clayton is here to answer any questions about native plants! Hours 9 am to 5 pm.
Clayton will be planting 2 demonstration native potted planters to show how you can still plant native, even if you can't plant in the ground!

Pop up dinner event tonight: Tacos, Quesadillas, and Queso Birria! Steak, Pastor (pork) and Birria (beef) available from 6-10 pm at 1416 6th Avenue, Rock Island, IL. Orders at 309-235-0336. Remember to enjoy the view while you eat or wait for your order.
