This was an intricate mechanical room installed by the 4th Gen Mechanical team. We seamlessly integrated a wide variety of systems, including a custom gun safe with total climate-control features. For this project, it required three ductless mini-split heat pumps, a high-efficiency Navien boiler with 2-zones, an HRV, a whole-house dehumidifier, and WiFi thermostats. Both the building and the custom gun safe are 100% controlled via smartphone, ensuring the entire property remains perfectly comfortable and secure.

We’re excited to show off another beautiful 4th Gen Mechanical room! This high-efficiency setup features a GeoStar Aston 5-ton water-to-water unit, providing both comfortable radiant floor heating and seamless air conditioning via an HSS hydronic air handler. To ensure peak indoor air quality, we integrated a Panasonic HRV and even managed to squeeze a Navien tankless system into this small mechanical room for endless hot water. Back in 1978, our grandfather installed one of the first geothermal systems in Upstate NY. Everyone told him it would never catch on. Fast-forward 47 years, and we're still carrying on his legacy. This project was a special one not only was it for his cousin, but she specifically wanted to keep the install in the family. Our grandfather installed the original WaterFurnace back in 1995.

It was important to her that the upgrade stayed "in the family," and we were honored to help. We replaced the old Water furnace with a new Geostar Water-to-Air Sycamore, which is 35-40% more efficient. We also upgraded the flow center with a variable pump for more efficiency and installed two new 50-gallon tanks that use the geothermal system to pre heat the water. And we installed a Geostar Symphony with Wi-Fi thermostats, giving them total control through the phone and giving us 24/7 access to the unit for any service needs. And a 39$ cooling bill for August.

We're excited to see if we can get to 100 years of geothermal experience in our family!

Another fantastic geothermal project completed by 4th Gen Mechanical! This past March, we replaced an old propane combi boiler and conventional AC with a state-of-the-art Geostar Aston water-to-water geothermal system.

This highly efficient setup features a HSS hydronic air handler for A/C with a backup heat and a 3-zone radiant heating system for ultimate comfort. To meet the homeowner's request, we were able to reuse some components from their old system and let them know that for even greater efficiency, we can easily install zone valves in the future.

This new system is also equipped with Geostar's Symphony and WiFi thermostats, giving the homeowners complete control from their phone while allowing us 24/7 remote access for any service needs. It's rewarding to get another family off of propane and see the immediate savings—their cooling bill for July was under $32.00!

We love a good solution to a big problem. This family was stuck using coal for heat and had no A/C, so we installed a Gree multi-zone mini split heat pump. Now they can enjoy comfortable heating and cooling, and save that coal for emergencies. Another great project for 4th Gen Mechanical.

It's a huge honor when a client trusts you with their home, but it's an even bigger honor when they call you for their third one! This amazing family has been with us for years, and we're so proud to be their go-to for comfort.

We installed two Mitsubishi mini-split H2i Plus systems. While we're all thinking about 90-degree weather, we made sure their new system is ready for the entire year. These units provide 100% heating capacity down to -5 degrees, so they can stay perfectly comfortable no matter the season.

This customer is part of the 4th Gen family! We were so happy to work with them again on their second home. They came to us with a common problem: expensive electric heat and those loud, inefficient window AC units.We solved that for them by installing a brand new Gree Vireo+ Ultra mini-split heat pump. Check out this amazing project we just completed! We installed a complete 4th Gen Mechanical system for a happy customer.

The main system features a 5-ton GeoStar Sycamore water-to-air geothermal unit, providing reliable heating and cooling. We paired it with two 50-gallon hot water tanks, with one tank ingeniously pre-heating water using the geothermal system, making it incredibly efficient... To give the customer ultimate comfort control, we created a three-zone system so they can set different temperatures in the bedroom, living room, and basement (once finished)

But we didn't stop there! We also installed a 2-ton GeoStar Aston unit to handle the garage. The whole setup is connected to Symphony by Geostar with wifi thermostats, giving the homeowner full control from their phone and letting us monitor the system 24/7 for peace of mind.

We handled everything from start to finish—from the loop field and ductwork to the PEX plumbing. It was a big job, but the results speak for themselves. The customer couldn't be happier!
