🔋 October 7th is ASHRAE Energy Efficiency Day! 🔋
Today, we recognize ASHRAE Energy Efficiency Day and reaffirm the importance of energy efficiency as a cornerstone of sustainable, resilient, and high-performing communities. Energy efficiency is one of the most practical and cost-effective strategies for reducing energy consumption, lowering operating costs, decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing building performance. The decisions we make today in the design, operation, and maintenance of our buildings have a lasting impact on both our environment and our communities.
The ASHRAE Rochester Chapter commends the City of Rochester, NY and Monroe County for their continued leadership and commitment to advancing energy-efficient and sustainable practices throughout the region. Through thoughtful planning, strategic investments, and collaborative partnerships, they are helping create healthier buildings, strengthen energy resilience, and support long-term environmental stewardship.
As industry professionals, public leaders, and community stakeholders, we all share a responsibility to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, optimize resources, and promote sustainable development. By working together, we can deliver meaningful results that benefit our economy, our environment, and future generations. On this Energy Efficiency Day, let us recognize the progress achieved and renew our commitment to building a more sustainable and energy-efficient future for the Greater Rochester community.
