Did you know that only specific circuit breakers are listed to fit in specific panels?
Just because a breaker fits in your panel doesn't mean it's listed to go in that panel! Using the wrong breaker for your panel can cause bad connections, overheating, and even arc flashes. On the inside door of the panel is a data and spec sheet. There, you will find what types of breakers are listed for your panel!

Did you know that all outdoor receptacles need to be GFCI protected, weather rated, and have an approved cover?
Outdoor receptacles must be GFCI protected. This can be done with a GFCI receptacle, GFCI breaker, or a "faceless" GFCI somewhere in your house! The receptacle also needs to be weather rated. These receptacles will be stamped with "WR" and are acceptable to be outdoors. And finally a approved cover must be placed over the receptacle to prevent direct contact with water! There are many different types of covers to suit your specific needs!

⚡️⚡️Did you know? ⚡️⚡️
Did you know that all 15amp and 20amp receptacles in new homes need to be tamper resistant? These receptacles are stamped with "TR" and have opaque plastic inside the slots of the receptacles! TR receptacles work by only allowing entry if both slots are being pressed at the same time! Preventing electrical shock with this built-in safety measure! It's a great general safety feature and great for children safety!
So the next time you or an electrician replaces a receptacle, be sure is a TR!

⚡️⚡️Homeowner tip!⚡️⚡️
Did some receptacles or lights suddenly stop working and no breakers have been tripped?
This could be due to a tripped GFCI!

Check all of your receptacles in your house for a GFCI receptacle. Those are the ones with the "reset" and "test" buttons.Try reseting them and seeing if that solves your issue!

If that doesn't work or you don't feel safe doing this please give us a call at 585 303 7205! For more tips check out our page and follow! And for any questions please feel free to message us!

This customer called with the issue of flickering lights and intermittent power issues. After inspection we found water was entering in their panel! This was caused by two issues, one no drip loop on the service wire outside and two the hole was not properly sealed! We replaced the service wire and the panel due to water damage and sealed the hole!
