Honoring the past through thoughtful design. 🏛️

Joe & Rick are working on a proposed façade restoration in Canandaigua, with a vision to bring this building back to its late-1800s historic character.

The proposed design restores the original upper window openings, repairs and refreshes the existing masonry, and reconstructs the storefront with architect-recommended materials and high-quality millwork—all while preserving the character of the original building and planning for its future.

🏠 TECHNICAL TUESDAY: Elevation vs. Rendering

They may show the same home, but they serve two very different purposes.

An elevation is a scaled architectural drawing that shows the actual design and details of the home — rooflines, windows, doors, exterior materials and more.

A rendering? Think of it as a little visual candy. 🍭 It brings the design to life with color, texture, landscaping and other finishing touches to help you envision the possibilities.

While renderings are a great visualization tool, they may not always reflect the exact details shown in the architectural drawings. When it comes to building, the drawings are the guide.
