The homeowner knew something wasn’t right. They were still experiencing settlement and weren’t getting the answers they needed.

During our assessment, we found power posts with gaps between the posts and the beam above, leaving them unable to provide the support they were intended to provide.

This is why a thorough assessment matters.
Our goal is to find the cause, explain what’s happening, and make sure homeowners have the answers they need.

Foundation cracks, failing steel supports, and a bowing floor were signs that this home needed additional support.

We replaced the existing steel supports, installed Power Posts, and added a steel beam to provide stability and support where it was needed.

Yesterday, one of our trucks needed to go into the shop. If you have been around since the early days, you might remember “APP” Appalachian Property Preservation, the name many of our customers first knew us by.

This is our 2010 F250 with over 240,000 miles. She has been through a lot with us and has earned plenty of names along the way. She may be a rough ride, dirty and far from shiny, but when we need her, she comes through.

Seeing her next to our new F350 this morning, shows that taking care of what we have and taking care of each other has always been part of who we are.

We are grateful for the customers and our employees who have helped us grow from the APP days into Appalachian Foundation Services💪🏻

Done. Complete. Secure. Stable.

This 100+ year-old home came with some big structural challenges, and our team was ready for them.

From a full crawlspace excavation/ encapsulation and sill beam replacement to new power posts, steel beams, porch support, and structural repairs throughout, every phase of this project was completed with one goal in mind: giving this home the strong foundation it deserves for years to come.

Projects like this take experience, planning, and a crew that's committed to doing things the right way. We're proud of the work that went into this one and grateful the homeowners trusted us with such an important repair.💪🏻
