Effective July 1st, Kristin officially stepped into the role of Director of Operations at Oya Construction, and honestly? It's about time we made it official.
If you've worked with Kristin, you already know why this matters. She's the one who keeps day-to-day operations running — the person behind the scenes making sure the work actually gets done, the schedules hold, and the team has what they need. This role is pivotal to everything we do at Oya, and there's no one better suited to carry it.
Kristin has become the trusted face of our projects — the one who truly understands what's happening on the ground and can communicate it clearly to clients, municipalities, and neighbors alike. She's sincere and truthful in every conversation, and somehow you walk away from talking to her feeling like you've just made a new best friend. She's brilliant, but she's also earnest — and that combination is rare.
Take the Rocky Forge wind project. Kristin grabbed that thing by the horns — keeping everything meticulously documented and within permit boundaries, while also working hand-in-hand with the onsite crew to build a system that actually helped them know exactly what needed fixing and how. That's who she is: she doesn't just manage a project, she makes sure everyone on it has what they need to succeed.
Kristin also brings real technical depth to the table — she holds her Engineer-in-Training (EIT) licensure in Virginia, so she understands this work from the ground up, not just from a spreadsheet.
At the end of the day, Kristin is the one who truly makes things happen. This promotion isn't just a title change — it's recognition of the trust she's earned and the impact she's already had on this company.
