Anyone else tired of tracking mud across the pool deck every time someone gets out? Or watched the summer’s storms wash half the mulch right out of the bed along the house?
Stone fixes it for good. Glacier Gray and Silica keep the area around the pool clean and bright — no mud, no yearly redo. Red Rock and River Rock do the same for your beds, with a little color to go with it.

Last week we told you stone season was here — and promised you a story. Meet Larry Duink's yard. 🪨
Larry's flowerbed slope had been losing mulch and soil to the bottom every season, no matter what he tried.
We put in Canadian Bluestone along the whole slope to hold it in place for good, cleared a few plants to make room, and added some 57 stone on the other side of the sidewalk to finish the look.
Larry's words: "They did a good job. I already have recommended them." 🙌

Anybody else noticing the pool edges getting a little rough, or the mulch you put down back in spring already thinning out in this heat? 😅 Totally normal for August — but it might just be the perfect time to switch over to stone instead of doing another mulch run next year.

Here's what we've got in stock right now:

🪨 57 River Rock — a classic, goes with just about anything
🪨 3 River Rock — a bit bigger, great for drainage spots
🔵 Canadian Bluestone (featured story coming soon) — clean and upscale for walkways and beds
⚪ Glacier Gray — bright and light, looks sharp around a pool
✨ Silica — another great light option for poolsides and beds
🔴 Red Rock — a nice pop of color for the flower beds

🚛🌳 A safer, fresher place to play for Ripley's children.

One of our favorite deliveries lately wasn't headed to a flowerbed or around a house—it was headed to the playground at Ripley Park.

As you can see, the Martin Mulch crew recently delivered and installed 25 yards of fresh playground mulch to the park, and we'd love to hear how your kids enjoy it this summer!🛝☀️

A big thank you to the Village of Ripley for trusting us with the job. We remember how much we loved the park when we were little and we hope the new mulch helps create plenty of happy memories for all the youngsters today! 😊

Today marks 250 years since the founding of this country. As the cookouts and fireworks get going, I wanted to take a minute and just say thanks.

I'm thankful to God for the freedom to run this business the way it should be run: honest work, a fair price, and a handshake that still means something around here.

I'm thankful for North East, for Erie County, and for this stretch of land along the lake I get to work every day.

And I'm thankful for every one of you who's trusted me and the crew with your property. Two hundred families now call us when their yard needs taking care of, and that means a lot.

Quick update on the holiday —
Martin Mulch is now closed both Friday, July 3rd AND Saturday, July 4th. Earlier I said we’d just be closed Saturday, but we’re taking the whole weekend to be with family for the 4th.
We’ll be back to our regular hours right after the holiday — so if you need mulch, stone, or soil for a weekend project, grab it before Thursday closing time, or just give me a call and we’ll get you sorted when we reopen.
