With getting stuff bought to start this endeavor, going to school to learn the trade, and hoping to pass this knowledge down to my son, I'm busy. I work 40 hours+ a week at my full time job as a maintenance man. Go to hvac school from 5-9:30 on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays, plus the second Saturday of each month for 8 hours. This course is over 600 hours. It started in January and I feel I've learned a lot so far, but this field of work there is never a time you aren't learning. There is so much to HVAC.
I hope to have my son help me as he grows. He's interested in it for only being 10. I've explained to him that a good work ethic will make him wanted, and people will want good work done. Im trying to get him started early, offering to pay him for help through the day. That way he learns he's got to work for a buck, its not handed to him.
This is a learning experience for me and him both, but by the grace of God, we will work our butts off and try to make it happen. We built this today for our trailer, for a work bench. He has pride, and I love that!
