We’ve been soaking up all the colors and textures of late summer in the nursery!
We’ve got a beautiful selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and more in bloom. Here are the standouts this week:
🌸 Zinnia — a fast-growing annual, making it a popular pick for bringing BIG color and beauty through summer until the first frost.
🌼 Echinacea (also known as coneflower) — this is one tough perennial! Great for pollinators, as you can see from all our butterflies, and known for beautiful color mid-summer into fall.
🪻American aster— another tough-as-nails perennial that brings beautiful, pollinator-friendly color in late summer and early fall
🌸 Crocosmia lucifer — known for it’s fun, bird-like blooms during late summer and fall. This is another great one for pollinators, including hummingbirds!
🌼 St. John’s Wort — this late-summer bloomer can grow up to two feet tall, making for a great and colorful space-filler.
🍃Coleus — technically a tropical plant, coleus is a fantastic pick for vibrant color from spring through fall. Great as a stand-alone plant in garden beds and borders or for extra drama in patio containers!
