Our techs see this issue all the time… Garage door tracks need clear space to operate properly- items stacked too close can get bumped into the track, causing damage or throwing off the door’s alignment. It’s also a safety consideration: if shelving were ever knocked or overloaded, falling items landing on or near the track could pose a risk to both the door and anyone nearby.
A little clearance around the tracks goes a long way for both the door’s lifespan and safety.
