Professional Women in Building Week

Better Kitchens and Baths is proud to celebrate the positive impact women make within our home building industry. This weeklong celebration aims to promote, train, advance, and recruit more women into the field. It also gives us a chance to spotlight a member of our own team who has championed this cause in the Richmond area for nearly 30 years.
Twenty-five years ago, Jenn served as President of the HBAR Women's Council. In recent years, her focus has shifted to addressing the shortage of skilled trades workers in the area — a passion that led her to Professional Women in Building (PWB). Last week, Jenn attended the PWB luncheon, where over 250 women from the industry gathered to celebrate women in home building. She spoke on behalf of the organization's Workforce Development Committee, a group dedicated to encouraging students to enter a trade and consider a career in home building — a cause that has been close to Jenn's heart for years. Jenn was thrilled to be part of the committee's scholarship program, which provides a scholarship to a female student entering the construction industry.
Jenn was also nominated by PWB for the Blueprint Award, given to a PWB member who volunteers her time and expertise to create a significant impact. We are incredibly proud of Jenn and her ongoing commitment to the Home Builders Association, Professional Women in Building, and her community.
