Another iron baluster transformation completed.

For this staircase, we used a balanced combination of straight bars, single-knuckle balusters, and double-knuckle balusters with baskets. The satin black iron adds definition and contrast while working well with the existing oak handrails and posts.

A baluster replacement can completely update a staircase without removing the existing woodwork.

Serving Chesterfield, Richmond, Midlothian, Moseley, Powhatan, Henrico, Glen Allen, and surrounding areas.

Iron balusters with a custom painted railing.

Simple upgrade, big difference.

The iron keeps the space open and clean, while the painted railing adds just enough character without overwhelming the room. It’s a subtle shift from traditional stained wood, but it changes the entire feel of the staircase.

Some homeowners stick with classic. Others like to add a little personality—this is a good example of how that can look when it’s done right.

If you’ve been thinking about updating your stairs, feel free to reach out. Happy to take a look and give you options.
