Virginia Climate, a local fast-growing HVAC company in search of quality HVAC Service and Install Technicians to join our team. The company provides service to Richmond and surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters, able to manage their work-load every day, stay organized, have good communication skills, and work well with other employees. We are offering full time employment and compensation to be determined with experience.
HVAC Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Travel to homes and businesses on a daily basis as scheduled.
• Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods.
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity.
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
• Training available for boilers, oil systems, and tankless water heaters.
• Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues.
• Repair damaged HVAC systems.
• Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources.
• Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Understand company pricing and generate customer invoice at job site.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
• Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
Requirements
• Technician must have 3+ years of experience and be CFC certified, journeyman or master HVAC license preferred.
• Ability to manage work-load every day.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Capable of troubleshooting all types of HVAC systems.
• Well groomed, neat appearance.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
• Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required.
• Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
