Cooler temperatures do not eliminate pests, they just change where they go. Many insects and rodents move toward warmth instead of disappearing, which often means they are heading indoors rather than out of the picture.

Sunny, south facing walls are usually the first stop, and from there it does not take much for them to slip inside through small gaps around windows, doors, and utility lines.
