As we get ready for the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, this week’s Family Friday is especially meaningful to our A1 team.

We’re proud to recognize Aaron’s mom, Ellie Scarbrough, a breast cancer survivor. 💗

Her story is a reminder that breast cancer impacts more than just the person diagnosed — it touches families, friends, coworkers, and entire communities.

That’s one of the reasons Team A1 is proud to walk on October 17 at Monroe Park: to celebrate survivors like Ellie, honor those we’ve lost, and support everyone still fighting. 🎀

This Friday, we’re celebrating Ellie, her strength, and the families who stand beside their loved ones every step of the way. 💗

💙💚 WE GIVE BACK WEDNESDAY! 💚💙

A1 Door Company was proud to sponsor Boots & BBQ, a Fellows Charity Event benefiting the Autism Society of Central Virginia! 🧩💙

Our team had an awesome time coming together, having some fun, and helping raise money for an incredible organization that does so much for our community.

From the 🪙 Heads or Tails game, to the 🎁 silent auction, the 💵 50/50 raffle, and even a special appearance from the famous ASCV Duck 🦆 — it was a great night for an even greater cause!

💙💚 FLASHBACK FRIDAY: THEN & NOW 💚💙

A lot can change in 24 years! 🥹 A1 Door Company started in 2002 with Fred, a small shop, a truck, and a vision. Fast forward to today, and that vision has grown into something bigger than we could have imagined.

From three different logos over the years, to changing truck wraps, a brand-new shop, new locations, and a growing team — A1 has come a LONG way!

Today, A1 Door Company has 3 locations — Richmond, Chesapeake, and Fredericksburg — and we just hit 60 employees! 🎉

Ryan, Chris, and Stephanie are proud to carry on what Fred started and continue building A1 for the next generation.

The buildings, trucks, logos, and size of our team may have changed, but our commitment to taking care of our customers and our community never has. 💙💚

We’re incredibly proud of where we started, how much we’ve grown, and where A1 Door Company is today.

🎉 Happy 11th Work Anniversary, Chris!

Today, we’re celebrating another year with Chris, part owner of A1 Door Company and an important part of the team. We’re grateful for everything he does to help move A1 forward and support the people around him.

🎯 Favorite A1 Memory:
There are way too many to list, but if I had to choose one, it would be playing paintball at our company outing — both times!

🥓 Something I Look Forward to at A1:
Biscuit Wednesday! Every Wednesday, our team gets breakfast, and it’s something I always look forward to.

🛠️ Favorite Hobby Outside of Work:
I like to golf, but honestly, I’m a project person. I always like having something to build, fix, or work on — whether it’s at my house or helping somebody else.

We’re grateful to have Chris as part of the A1 Door Company family and appreciate everything he brings to the team. Here’s to another great year!

Happy National Coffee Day! ☕️

Today, we set up an iced coffee bar where our team could make their own iced coffees and fuel up for the day!

Our technicians and office staff had plenty of options to create their perfect drink and stay caffeinated, energized, and ready to take care of our customers.

🎉 Celebrating 4 Years at A1 Door Company! 🎉

Since joining A1 in 2022, Jeremy has made plenty of great memories—but one definitely stands out.

🎬 Favorite A1 Memory:
“For our commercial shoot, I got to drive a forklift through a garage door. It was neat to be on the other side of things—I got to ruin the door instead of fix it.”

💙 What he enjoys most about A1:
“The people are awesome. I’ve made some really good friends over the years.”

⛳ Favorite hobby outside of work:
“Six months ago, I would have said fishing. Lately, though, I’ve been playing a lot of golf and really enjoy getting out on the course with my coworkers.”

We’re grateful for everything he’s brought to the A1 team over the past four years. Here’s to many more memories, friendships, and maybe a few more garage doors getting destroyed on purpose. 😂
