One of the hardest lessons in business is realizing that not every client and company are the right fit. I had to make that decision this morning, and it’s never one I enjoy making.
Your goal should not be to become the cheapest option. It should be to charge fairly for the time, care, experience, and quality you provide. Larger, high-volume companies may offer lower package pricing, and there is nothing wrong with that model—but a lower price doesn’t always include the same preparation or attention to detail.
With services like aeration and seeding, proper mowing height, careful equipment operation, and thorough application can make a real difference in the results.
We aren’t perfect(yet), and our program won’t be right for everyone. When there is ongoing disagreement over the price, process, and expectations that work well for dozens of other clients, it may simply mean the fit isn’t right. Sometimes the most respectful decision for both sides is to part ways.
Stay humble. Keep improving. Charge fairly. And remember: the lowest price and the best value are not always the same thing.
