Happy first day of fall!

Although it is still quite warm outside, we have already started tidying up flowerbeds, sprucing pottery and hanging Autumn colored wreaths on doors. And pumpkins arrive next week!

If your yard or porch could use the same treatment, send us a message or give us a call - it’s never too early to start planning for the next season.

What started as a blank slate is now layered with muhly grass, boxwood hedging, a stunning magnolia and a properly built stacked-stone edge. Beautiful details that add up to a timeless design.

Meet the guy behind the scenes.

Sixteen years ago, Chance Patton started Contour Landscapes with a simple idea: outdoor spaces in Fort Bend County deserve to be beautiful.

Since then, he’s led the design and build of hundreds of outdoor living spaces across Fulshear, Katy, Richmond, Sugarland, and surrounding areas - from stone patios and water features to full front-yard transformations (yes, including our favorite fall pumpkin displays 🎃).

Chance enjoys seeing every Contour project come to life from the design table all the way through to the final reveal. There’s a difference between a yard that is landscaped and one that is designed with intention. And he’s not just in the office, you can often find him driving a hammer and digging in the dirt.

Next time you see our work, know there’s a name and a face behind it.

Spring’s Labor - Summer’s Bloom

The hardest part is never planting, but choosing the right plants for a Houston summer. A beautiful front bed that still turns heads after ninety days over ninety degrees. Spring’s hard work in full bloom.
