Perfect scenario to show why it is important to have a locksmith rekey your locks alike and not a hardware store or big box store!!

We got to help a customer install new locks the other day. They had them keyed up at the store where they were purchased. During the installation I noticed one of the deadbolt locks wasn't actually keyed alike. Top picture showing what it was like, and the bottom is how it is supposed to look. Gabe was able to get this changed for the customer and everything working as it should. This is why we double check all keys when installing new locks!

PSA!! During 2023, Lakes Area Locks has had the privilege of assisting over 120 home and vehicle owners with the unspeakable situation of being locked out! We have heard it all from "This new vehicle isn't supposed to let the keys get locked inside." to "My dog had to have stepped on the little press down thingy!" No matter what how it happened we have your back!

We are offering our gift certificates again this year and because we made this post late, we are going to extend this offer until the new year!
