Light returns.

Inside the greenhouse, thousands of plants are already growing and preparing for spring. Hanging baskets are beginning to fill out, young plants are gaining strength, and the season is quietly coming to life.

Out in the tree lot we’ve begun moving trees from their winter storage areas back into their display rows.

The wind has been fierce this week, and a hard cold snap is on the way. Many trees across eastern Indiana and western Ohio have already started to bud, so the coming cold may cause some early spring damage in the landscape.

That’s part of gardening in the Midwest.

Inside the greenhouse though, the season keeps moving forward.

Spring is coming.

03/09/2026

Light returned.
And the season begins to move.
Rows stretch forward.
Color gathers strength.
Hands return to the soil.
Stone is set in place.
We tend what is growing.
We build what will hold.
Spring does not rush.
It unfolds.
And we are preparing for what it will become.

03/02/2026

Light returns.
Inside the greenhouse, the work has already begun.
Spring isn’t something we wait for —
It’s something we prepare for.
More to come.
