We’ve been a little quiet on here… but behind the scenes, it’s been full speed ahead.

While the posts slowed down, the work didn’t. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been out in the field day in and day out—removing old, worn-out fences and replacing them with strong, clean, built-to-last installs that completely transform each property.

There’s something satisfying about taking a yard that feels open, outdated, or unfinished—and turning it into something secure, polished, and private. Whether it’s cedar privacy fencing, clean black chain link, or custom gate builds, every project gets the same level of care and attention to detail.

We don’t cut corners. We don’t rush jobs. And we don’t leave until it’s something we’d be proud to have in our own yard.

Here’s a look at some of the work we’ve completed recently 👇

If you’ve been putting off a fence project, this is your sign to get it done. Spring and summer slots are filling up fast, and we’re booking out ahead.

Send us a message to get on the schedule for a free estimate. Let’s build something solid.

Before ➡️ After

“I guess my wife is a farmer now.”

That’s how this one started 😂

This homeowner is a returning customer — we repaired his gate a few months back — and when he called us out again, it turns out his wife recently got chickens.

They had them in a temporary enclosure, but unfortunately their Husky managed to get to one of the chickens. That was the moment they realized they needed something stronger, safer, and still good-looking enough to fit their beautiful yard.

She didn’t just want a basic enclosure. She wanted it to match her gardening area in another part of the yard. So we worked together and came up with this custom hog panel chicken enclosure.

We used wood posts for this build. We’re always honest about the long-term realities of wood in the ground, and the customer understood that. In this case, matching the existing garden aesthetic was more important — and sometimes design matters just as much as durability.

We also intentionally left the 4x4 posts long (10-ft posts) because she plans to build a pergola-style top in the future and asked us to leave that option open. We love when customers think ahead.

To help keep the Husky from digging under the fence, we installed a concrete mow strip along the bottom. Because of the slope in that part of the yard, it had to be stair-stepped — and it came out awesome.

And here’s the best part…

When we came back after the concrete cured, the Husky had left a couple paw prints right by the gate 😂

We’re calling it a permanent reminder to the chickens of who’s really in charge.

The customers love it. We love it. And the chickens are a whole lot safer.

Before ➡️ After

280 feet of 6' tall cedar with pre-stained pickets.

This one was a battle.

The previous installer must have believed in “the more concrete the better,” because it felt like every single post had 400 lbs wrapped around it. Digging was tough enough on its own, but some of that concrete was tied into an existing slab. We had to break it apart carefully and methodically to avoid damaging the slab.

Slow work. Hard work. Done right.

Here’s the reality though — no amount of concrete makes a wood post last forever.

Wood posts might look timeless, but once you put wood in the ground, it’s going to rot at grade. It doesn’t matter how much concrete is around it. Moisture wins every time.

That’s why we build our fences with metal posts — either round steel posts or PostMaster/Lifetime posts.

Over time, every fence moves. Soil shifts. Weather does its thing. With metal posts, fences can be re-plumbed and reinforced years down the road without tearing everything out and starting over. You’re not stuck replacing rotted posts section by section.

Built smarter from day one.

The finished product turned out solid, straight, and sharp with those pre-stained cedar pickets.

The customer loved it — even gave us a card thanking us for the hard work. That kind of appreciation means a lot.

We think it looks great.

What do you think?

If you’re replacing an old wood-post fence, let’s do it the right way this time.

Before ➡️ After

This one might only be 32 feet, but it made a serious difference.

The homeowner has arborvitae trees along the property line that are slowly dying off, and instead of waiting until everything looks rough, he decided to start replacing sections with cedar privacy fence a little at a time.

He told me he wanted to get started and make the wife — or as he calls her, the boss — happy 😂 Smart man.

We installed a clean section of cedar privacy fence with pre-stand pickets, set solid and built straight. The toughest part of the whole job was the digging, but once those posts were locked in, everything came together exactly how it should.

And the transformation speaks for itself.

By the time we wrapped up, both him and "the boss" were fired up about how it turned out. They told us moving forward we’ll be the only company they call when it’s time to continue the rest as the trees come down.

That’s how we like to do business — earn it one section at a time.

Doesn’t matter if it’s 30 feet or 300 feet. We build it straight. We build it solid. And we build it to last.

If you’ve got a section you’ve been thinking about starting, send De-Fence Co a message. Let’s make the boss happy 😎💪

👀 When your neighbor’s fence does the talking 👀

This homeowner reached out after seeing the fence we built next door. They loved the quality, the clean lines, and how solid it looked—especially compared to the outrageously high quote they had just gotten from “some hotshot in a brand new Bronco.”

We walked the property, talked through the project, and gave them our price.
Their reaction? Ecstatic.

About half the cost. Twice the results.

Straight runs, tight pickets, clean transitions, and a finished product that actually matches what you expect when you’re investing in your home. No flashy sales pitch—just solid work and fair pricing.

That’s how we do it at De-Fence Co.

🔥 Chain-link done right 🔥

This homeowner wanted extra durability, so they chose to have this 4’ galvanized chain-link fence built with posts spaced at 8’ on center instead of the typical 10’. It’s a detail most people don’t think about, but it adds rigidity and helps everything stay straight and clean over time.

The curved run around the cul-de-sac was the fun challenge on this one. With chain-link, curves only look right when the tensioning is dialed in just right—too loose or too tight and it shows immediately. This one came together smooth, consistent, and clean from end to end 👌

If you want a fence built with intention—not shortcuts—this is the level of work you can expect from De-Fence Co.

🎥 When you compare the details, the difference speaks for itself.

In this video, I’m walking you through a fence we installed right next to a neighboring property, and the contrast is clear. Straight lines, consistent height, clean hardware, and a finished look that’s built to last — versus work that looks rushed and overlooked.

At De-Fence Co, we don’t just “put up a fence.”

We take pride in proper layout, correct materials, solid installs, and clean finishes — because your fence isn’t just about looks today, it’s about durability and value for years to come.

This is why it’s so important to do your research before choosing a fence company. Anyone can promise a low price — but craftsmanship, experience, and accountability are what actually matter.

If you’re investing in your property, invest in it once — and invest in it right.

From DIY to done the right way 👊

The homeowner originally started this fence on his own, and like many DIY projects, a few learning moments came up along the way. Early in the build, he cut the pickets down, which set the side portion of the fence at a lower height than standard.

When we stepped in to finish the front section, we made the decision to install it at full height, rather than matching the lower side section. This allowed the homeowner to maintain proper privacy in the backyard, without tearing out what had already been built.

We focused on a clean tie-in, straight lines, proper spacing, and long-term durability where we took over—delivering a solid, intentional, professional finish.

To keep the project budget-friendly, the homeowner chose a wood-framed gate instead of a metal frame—a smart, cost-effective option that still delivers strength, function, and a clean look.

Whether you’re halfway through a DIY project or need a professional to step in and finish strong, we offer real solutions, honest advice, and craftsmanship you can see. 🔨💪
