Ask Sera: How much should I expect to spend to build a custom home?

Most custom homes in our area fall within a broad range, but the real answer depends on design, level of finish, and site conditions. So many factors can influence the final price.Because of all of this, we approach budgeting as a process rather than a single number. Early on, we provide a feasibility range based on what we know. As the design develops and selections are made, that range becomes more refined and more accurate.
