Chis is doing great with his cardiac rehab. But he’s had a bit of a setback with his sternum incision. A few weeks ago it became irritated and came open at the top. We’ve been watching it as well as the surgeons. It doesn’t seem to be healing and he has a CT scan scheduled for Friday. If the sternum wire used to close his bones have become displaced, he will need to go back in to surgery to correct it. Praying that is not the case. He still has not been cleared for work and we’re struggling with our finances during this trying time. If you find it in your heart to donate, we’re very grateful. Thank you.

UPDATE: Chris starts cardiac rehab next week, 3x a week. He still has an ejection fraction of only 20-30%. He’ll get a repeat echo in a few months. Still no work. Tomorrow he sees the dermatologist to determine what kind of surgery /treatment for his cancer.

Hi y’all. I’m not sure who all knows but Chris had a major heart attack on Tuesday just shortly after having to put down my service dog and loved pet, Pickles. He’s still in the hospital to stabilize him for heart bypass surgery to replace his aortic valve on Monday. This is a very hard post for me to compose. We have a hard time asking for help, but here it is. Chris is the sole breadwinner in the family. I’m on disability due to kidney failure. He is my rock and has taken good care of me for 18 years. While I can care for him, I cannot support us. We live paycheck to paycheck and he will have a long recovery ahead of him. He will not be able to work or even drive for that matter.
