Another winter day, another ice dam situation! This one leaked so heavily that the water filled the interior of this plywood covered beam, creating soft spongy wood that is bowing out now. This will be noted during the insurance adjustment so we can ensure we get this owner everything they need in one shot. If I had pressed any harder I’m guessing it would have broken right through it was so bad!

This is a great diagram to show the difference between the common blistering we see on asphalt shingles and the hail damage we inspect for. We inspect thousands of roofs every year and have acquired the skill to be able to spot the difference between these similar looking spots on your roof so we can make sure it benefits you during the adjustment process.

The blistering is a result of heat typically from insufficient venting on your roof. Every time we replace a roof, we make sure you have the proper amount of venting which is unique to every homeowners situation so you don’t experience this problem on your new roof!
