I am switching out the Optima AGM red top battery on Lori's car. The reason I'm posting this is the battery lasted 6 years! Sometimes these last even longer. Most car batteries will last 3 years. This battery cost about $280. If you do your fancy math it's cost savings per battery year.
I alao installed a Knukonceptz battery terminal. They have very reliable and robust products!

I always put Otima batteries on vehicles with aftermarket audio systems to handle the additional load. This is a good value even if you don't have an aftermarket system to save money. I got my battery at Napa but any auto supply usually carries them.

Decon 7 A/C Treatment!

Installing a Panasonic select a speed vent today, thoroughly enjoying the attic temperature!! This house in Lakewood was built in 1957. Ducted it temporarily into the Attic until it's vented to the roof.
I put it on a Leviton countdown timer, so after every shower it can be set for a certain time and forgotten.

There had been small mold problems around a couple of the air supplies and returns so their A/C Tech guy did a Decon 7 treatment in the ducts and air handler.

I'm troubleshooting my 2018 Focus ST the system that I installed about 6 years ago. I kept the OEM Ford head unit because I thought it had a quality sound and good tuner. I then ran this speaker line level and puts into a JL Audio Fix 86 sound processor. Then that's runs into a Morel amplifier MPS 5.950, used Morel 6.5 inch component speakersand and JL Audio 8-in ported sub enclosure. It has Sound Matt in all the doors. The FOX 2 circulation fan still works!
I still need to properly mount the Knukoceptz fuse block...
The problem is sometimes the amplifier doesn't come on when the head unit does. It only does it some of the time.

I'm starting with disconnecting the battery to do a hard reset on the head unit and I'm checking the wires connections.

We'd love to sound output and quality sound!

I worked on a beautiful house in the Hollywood Santa Monica neighborhood in Dallas. This house was built in 1927 and in a Conservation District. This house is a wonderful Survivor! It was wired with a rare rigid black enamel conduit that can easily have the old cloth wire pulled out a new wiring put in. The entire house is steel lathe plaster.

This is a public service warning!! People are putting in too much insulation in their attic!! This makes the house unserviceable! Most of the time it is put over loose debris/wood in the Attic. This can be a fire and safety hazard. A lot of people are putting in is this white blow in poly in my pictures most likely because it is inexpensive. If you buy a house with this in it it can hide numerous problems with the HVAC electrical and plumbing.

I just got green tagged, AKA passed the city of Dallas inspection! It is a 320 amp service with two 200 amp Square D QO 40 space panels. Its disconnect means is a Kohler generator transfer switch. It ohmed out at a .5 ohms!!
We also installed a Grizzlie 100 amp car charger on the stone wall.
