If the roofing contractor you hired shows up with unmarked shingles like this, you may have made a mistake hiring them.
These shingles are wrapped like this and not labeled because they are old shingles, mixed in with left over or damaged shingles and repacked up and sold at a discounted rate.
Why are they discounted?
Because they’re old shingles, mixed in with leftover or damaged shingles, and probably won’t come with any type of warranty.
I understand that sometimes there is a time and place for this, but they are few and far between for the typical homeowner.
