The boys and I finished up a deck refresh today! This deck was stripped down to her bare bones, and we added bigger support posts, added more structure to the framing, built all new stairs, laid new decking and installed new railing with black aluminum balusters! The front porch job is finally completed! This was probably one of the more stressful jobs I’ve done in a while because it was all new to me! I’m really happy with the end result and all the sleepless nights I had worrying about how to frame this thing up was worth it! Everything is ready for the roofers to come install their new metal roof and new guttering! Thank you Kelly and Tia for waiting on me for over a year to complete this project for you! Phase 2 of this project starts soon!

It was a productive week! Got the porch dried in and ready for the roofer, got all the soffit and fascia repaired ready for paint and got the tongue and groove board all installed on the back wall! Next week will be finishing the boards on the ceiling, installing lighting, and painting/ staining!

Made good progress on the new project today thanks to the help of Cole and Elias! All the big beams are set which I wouldn’t have been able to do Alone! These beams were cut by Ozark Saw and Lumber straight out of Mark Twain Forest! If you’re looking for custom beams give them a shout, they’ve been great to work with!

Finally got stain on a deck I built last summer! We went with a two tone finish. White railing and toe plates, and the stain is called ferret! It’s a brownish gray color to match the house! Thanks Susan for letting me make your vision come to life! Carl would be proud of us!
