Sanding and paint coming up next!

We’re out on James St in the Earle Historic District prepping this 1955 mid-century house. It’s a ton of wrapping, but it’s the only way to protect that gorgeous original wainscoting while we patch and paint. 😮‍💨🤩

Who says fiberglass doors can’t get that high-end wood look? 🚪🔥

Normally, we love a good regular wood stain project, but for this specific door, we had to switch things up. Since fiberglass isn’t porous, regular liquid stain would just puddle up and ruin it. Gel stain is much thicker, allowing us to use a specific technique to mimic a gorgeous, natural wood grain on a surface that usually hates stain. 🎨✨

Finished up this custom interior. White Sand walls with Dover White on the trim, and Salty Dog accents in the main areas. Even custom stained the beams to match the hardwoods. Between the color names and the finish, it’s feeling "just beachy" in here. 🐚
