Why Do I Need to "DeScale" my Tankless Water Heater?
"Descaling" is the process of flushing out the build-up of lime and mineral deposits in the Heat Exchanger of your Tankless Water Heater. Tankless Water Heaters are known for providing continuous hot water while also having minimal maintenance; however, there are many things that residents are unaware of when it comes to the routine maintenance involved in Tankless Water Heaters. Around a year of operation, lime and mineral deposits start to build up in the bottom of your Tankless Water Heater, which could damage the integrity of the Heat Exchanger. Sediment build-up is especially dangerous in narrow water passages as it might clog the element and prevent further normal heating operation. This could eventually lead to Heat Exchange Failure leaving the Tankless Water Heater unusable. To minimize risk of damage, a Tankless Water Heater is recommended to be "Descaled" or flushed out once a year which can increase the lifespan of your Tankless Water Heater from 15-20 years, up to 25-30 years of operation. That's where we come in! The process will take between 45 minutes to an hour to complete, while you can relax with no headaches, no messes(leave that to the kids!), and a hassle-free experience!
