A recent house finish with gold faucets, gold shower heads, and a freestanding tub sitting under the window with the pines right outside. We love it when the plumbing gets to be the pretty part of the room, and it takes a lot of good, hard work from our crew behind the walls to get there.

I sat down with our service plumber Tim Curtin, who I said was my third favorite Curtin in the world - but actually I need to correct that to 5th favorite because his daughter, Callie, and wife, Wendy, get in there before him too, and we found out that not only did his Father lie to him, but he also may be working through that trauma by inflicting more trauma running 100 miles at one time!!! Find out more about Tim - why he is Poppy and Maverick's favorite, and just how good of a suck-up he is.

Have you ever wondered about the fearless Lady Beaver that leads this Top Tier team? Well here she is folks, in her natural habitat cheering on kids at a cross country meet. Don’t be fooled by her small stature - she’s a fierce little Beaver. 🤣

We know how to wear lots of hats at Top Tier - we can be professional in one moment and then walk out the door and put on a blow up Beaver suit to cheer on our kid. It’s all about balance. And life is short - so make it fun!

Sometimes we like to snuggle at Top Tier.

Days are getting shorter, it’s getting cooler, and let’s face it some work days you just need a good work buddy to carry you through the day. Poppy and Maverick are the yin to each other’s yang. You might not find the rest of the Top Tier crew snuggling up, but you will find them being each other’s right hand and helping each other out.

We're just scratching the surface getting to know Matt Thompson a little better!

If you know Matt, you know he's never short on things to say, so we sat him down in the shop and hit him with a bunch of random questions, same as we did with Julie. One of them was the strangest thing he's ever pulled out of a sewer, and you're going to want to hear his answer.

The Top Tier crew doesn't stop learning once they're out of the classroom and have a plumbing license - we do our best to keep up with new technology to better serve our customers.

Jon and Trenten are shown here using GPS technology to lay out a large site for underground plumbing.

Get to know Julie, the person behind the voice on the phone, and a story about a spatula you did not see coming...

We asked her a bunch of random questions, and somewhere in there she told a story you might not expect, one that will make you think twice about using a spatula at someone else's house.

We recently repaired this drain at a duplex. The drain kept backing up in one unit whenever the other unit was vacant.

It was also really tough to clean because of how it was plumbed, with a double wye. That's legal in WI, but if you're a plumber who also does drain cleaning like we do, you know it's not the best way to do it.

Run 2 wyes offset instead, and the waste from one unit flows into the main instead of backing up into the other unit, especially when that unit is vacant and there's no one flushing a toilet to help clear it.

We dug this one up and fixed it, not just to WI plumbing code standards but to Top Tier standards, with 2 offset wyes. Put everything back and got this owner back to problem-free.

Three different jobs, three different days: a drainfield getting leveled out in the woods, a new septic tank going into the ground, and a camera running down a line to see what is really happening inside it.

Different task each time, same thing behind all three, our crews leaning on each other until the job is done right.

Teamwork makes the dreamwork, and ours usually shows up covered in dirt.

Trust. Quality. Comfort.
