No pipe will ruin your weekend faster than the one buried between the street and your house that you've never once thought about.

Spring thaw is when a lot of water service lines fail in Wisconsin. The ground shifts, old pipes can't handle it, and we get the call when there's no water and a yard full of mud. Here's a replacement we recently did.

Most homeowners can't tell you how old their water service line is or what condition it's in. That's not a criticism — nobody tells you to think about it until it's too late.

Wall-mount faucets are one of those things we talk about early — and we mean early — in every custom build.

This one got me. 💚

We just finished this bathroom for a new home build — and it's everything. The blush pink cabinetry, the arched mirror, those gold sconces, the hex tile floor with the sweetest subtle flower pattern, and that tub/shower with the handheld fixture. Every single detail is beautiful.

But here's what I kept thinking about when I walked through it: these little girls are going to grow up in this house. They're going to splash in that tub. They're going to stand on a step stool at that pink vanity, and one day — way too fast, like it always goes — they're going to get ready for prom in front of that mirror.

That's what we get to be part of. Not just the plumbing. The home. The memories. The moments.

We are so proud of this one. Congratulations to this sweet family on your new home. 🏡
