Safety Tips Wednesday -- MAY is National Electrical Safety Month - " GFI's save Lives ! " , this phrase may be simple .. but true. Before the Installation of GRound Fault Circuit interrupters ( which interrupt power when they detect a fault) nearly 800 people per year were injured fatally from household electrocutions. Today, fewer than 200 people die annually from household electricutions.

Check you home for GFI receptacles installed in areas such as BAthroom, Laundry, Kitchen, Garages, outdoor power locations. If missing in these areas you should contact a Professional Electrician for help in making your home more safe !
