Your heater picked the coldest night of the year to demand an electrical upgrade. How thoughtful.

Before temperatures drop, make sure your heating equipment and electrical system are ready for the extra workload.

Adding a new heater or upgrading your HVAC system? Your electrical panel and circuits may need attention, too.

A little planning now beats a freezing night, an unexpected repair, and a family meeting about who gets the last blanket.

Don't wait for the first cold snap to find out you're not ready.

Call Sasquatch Electric & Solar at 541.480.5766 to discuss your electrical needs.

Your breaker box has entered its busy season. Fall means more lights. More heaters. More cooking. More appliances. More Netflix.

Basically, your electrical system just got promoted to full-time employee.

If breakers are tripping more often, lights are flickering, outlets feel warm, or your panel is making strange noises, don’t just reset it and hope for the best.

A little attention now can help prevent a much bigger electrical headache later.

Your house has been dropping electrical hints. You’ve been ignoring them.

Fair enough. We all have a list.

But “that outlet gets warm” probably shouldn't live on the same list as “organize the junk drawer.”

Neither should:

• Lights that flicker or dim
• Outlets or switches that feel warm
• Buzzing, crackling or sizzling sounds
• Plugs that don't fit snugly
• Breakers that trip repeatedly

Those can be signs of an electrical problem—not your house developing a personality.

If something electrical seems off, have it checked before it becomes a much bigger problem.

Let’s take a look:

Your extension cord is doing a job it never applied for.

🎇Running power across the yard.
🎇Supplying the garage.
🎇Keeping the shop running.
🎇Reaching the thing that’s just a little too far from the outlet.

Extension cords are incredibly useful—but they're designed for temporary use, not as a permanent part of your electrical system.

If you're constantly reaching for one, it may be time for a better solution.

Sometimes the answer isn't a longer cord. It's an outlet.

Your solar system should be saving you energy—not giving you homework.

When a homeowner’s solar and battery storage system failed, Sasquatch Electric & Solar was called in to figure out why.

Joshua quickly identified the problem, repaired the system, and took the extra step of explaining how to spot potential issues down the road.

Professional service isn’t just showing up, making the repair, and heading out.

It’s showing up prepared, communicating clearly, solving the problem, and making sure the customer understands what happened.

Because nobody wants to stare at their solar monitoring app thinking, “Well... that doesn’t look right.”

If your solar, battery storage, or electrical system isn’t behaving the way it should, let’s troubleshoot it.

Your house shouldn't be making sound effects.

A little buzz from the outlet.
A mysterious crackle from the switch.
An unexpected pop from somewhere you can't quite identify.

Cute? No.
Worth investigating? Absolutely.

Electrical warning signs can include buzzing or sizzling sounds, flickering lights, hot outlet or switch covers, and breakers that trip repeatedly.

So if your house suddenly develops a soundtrack, don't turn up the TV.

Get the electrical issue checked out instead.

Sasquatch Electric & Solar has more than 25 years of electrical experience serving Central Oregon, including repairs, installations and home electrical inspections.

Let's figure out what's making that noise - https://bit.ly/4bkUDXl

Low voltage. Low drama. That's our kind of Friday.

We're not saying electricity needs to be boring.

We're just saying your electrical system probably shouldn't be the most dramatic thing happening in your house.

If you've got a project, repair, inspection or installation on the list, Sasquatch Electric & Solar handles electrical work for Central Oregon homes and businesses.

Because Fridays are better when the only thing sparking is the dad joke.

Let's talk about your electrical project.

You remembered the gutters. You remembered the leaves. You remembered absolutely everything… except the weird outlet.

Fall home maintenance isn't just about what's happening outside.

As you're getting your home ready for shorter days and cooler weather, take a minute to look at the electrical stuff inside, too.

Check for:

• Warm or discolored outlets
• Loose plugs
• Flickering or dimming lights
• Frequently tripping breakers
• Damaged cords or extension cords

If something doesn't look or feel right, don't add “ignore it until spring” to your maintenance plan.

Sasquatch Electric & Solar provides electrical service calls and home electrical inspections throughout Central Oregon.

Add electrical safety to the fall checklist. Your future self will appreciate it.

Fall has one annoying habit: making 5:30 p.m. look like midnight.

That's where good exterior lighting earns its keep.

Motion lights. Porch lights. Pathway lighting. Entry lighting.

They're not just about making your house look nice—they can make arriving home after dark a whole lot easier.

And let's be honest: nobody wants to navigate the front steps while carrying groceries, a phone, three packages and approximately 14 things they don't remember ordering.

If your exterior lighting needs an upgrade—or your existing lights aren't behaving—Sasquatch Electric & Solar can help with the electrical side of getting your home ready for darker evenings.

More light. Fewer “where am I stepping?” moments.

Before fall turns into “Why did the breaker just trip?” season, take a quick look:

• Flickering or dimming lights?
• Warm or discolored outlets?
• Breakers tripping repeatedly?
• Extension cords doing way too much heavy lifting?
• Older electrical equipment struggling with today’s demands?

Those aren't exactly your home's way of saying, “Everything is fine.”

A little attention now can help catch electrical problems before they become bigger—and potentially more expensive—problems. Oregon fire officials specifically recommend avoiding overloaded outlets and having electrical work handled by a qualified professional.
