The days are getting shorter. Time to turn the water down.
Better to take a couple days off the schedule than water less time each day.
Let things dry out to prevent fungus in lawns and weeds from getting out of control. Prevent root rot on the plants.

Also…….This has been a horrible year for insects. Easy to fix with the product from home depot. If you see red/orange moths you have grubs in the lawn.
The cold will stop them soon but they will eat the roots for another month or so. March is the time to apply it next year.

It is time to get your lawns ready for the year
Get pre emergent down now to prevent weeds
Best brand dimension pre emergent
April is too late
Crab grass seeds are gonna pop next sunny stretch if not already
Now and October are the most important months to apply pre emergent
Home depot and lowes do not have good pre emergent
Go to Axner, Loucks or Ewing

Insects are making babies now and feeding on the roots now
Insecticide is crucial
Most people think they need more water in June or more fertilizer
Usually its just bugs eating half the roots of your lawn
Home depot and lowes have many lawn insecticides that are granular
They all work
Don’t get the expensive stuff
Apply heavy
If the bag says 5000 ft
Use it for 1000 ft of lawn
Use insecticide now and in May for a good lawn all summer

Fungus is misidentified all the time
It’s usually insect damage
Fungus comes in patches always
A tell tale sign is your mower wheels leaving tracks of discolored grass in stripes
Don’t use fungicide untill you have it

The product only lasts 2 weeks
You cant prevent it other than not overwatering during the day
Your lawn needs to dry out once a week or just get the proper amount daily where it is mostly dry once during a day
