Key Responsibilities:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, NCCER, electrical licenses) a plus.

Highway Specialty is seeking a dependable and experienced Certified Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position involves repairing, fabricating, and maintaining a variety of equipment, trailers, barricades, and other steel structures while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

✔️Perform MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and/or Flux-Core (FCAW) welding as required.
✔️Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications.
✔️Fabricate, repair, and modify steel, aluminum, and other metal components.
✔️Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely.
✔️Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components accurately.
✔️Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
✔️Repair company equipment, trailers, signs, barricades, and specialty traffic control products.
✔️Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
✔️Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
✔️Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
✔️Assist with general shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

✔️Current welding certification (AWS Certification preferred).
✔️Welding and fabrication experience.
✔️Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
✔️Proficient in MIG welding.

✔️Ability to read measuring devices accurately.

• Preparing materials and tools for projects
• Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
• Removing debris, garbage, and excess materials
• Assisting with assembling and dismantling barricades and temporary structures
• Performing general yard maintenance and cleanup
• Maintaining an organized and safe work environment
• Following company procedures and supervisor directions

Qualifications
• Must be physically capable of performing general labor duties
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and rainy weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
