It doesn’t matter if you’re an Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master Electrician, at some point you’re going to end up in the attic. It’s just part of the trade.

Running wire, troubleshooting circuits, adding lighting… a lot of the real work happens where most homeowners never see it.

Yesterday’s attic crawl wasn’t too bad though. Thankfully this home had the newer blown-in insulation instead of the old itchy stuff that sticks to everything. Anyone who’s been in this trade long enough knows exactly what I’m talking about! 😅

We updated all the outlets to modern white devices, removed devices that had been there for nearly 32 years, and added a new switch leg to control under-cabinet LED lights, complete with a dimmer for perfect ambiance.

Today we helped a homeowner with several electrical improvements throughout their home to add convenience, safety, and better lighting.

Main Bathroom Upgrades
• Installed a new wafer light inside the shower with its own dedicated switch
• Added a bidet outlet while keeping it 3 feet from the tub edge for code compliance
• Converted a 2-gang switch box to a 3-gang box
• Installed new devices for a clean, updated finish

Lower Level Bathroom
• Installed two wafer lights, one in the shower and one in the walkway
• Added a bidet outlet
• Replaced devices for a fresh look

Laundry Upgrade
• Fished in a new 240V dryer circuit approximately 70 feet away to power a new dryer.

Sometimes when you’re deep into the work you forget to grab all the pictures, but we were happy to get everything completed for the homeowner.

Out with the old and in with the new.

We removed the existing garage lighting and upgraded to slim-profile LED fixtures tucked tight to the ceiling. We modified the mounting brackets so the lights sit clean and close. No bulky fixtures hanging down.

Three fixtures are installed so far, we’ll share updated photos once the remaining five are up.
