Hello and Happy Saturday! Have you noticed lately the pests being a bit more than in previous years?

Well we have!

If you are infact noticing a few more critters lately than you have in previous Springs, likely you are!

This last Winter was mild, and didn't get cold enough, for long enough to kill off certain insects and critters we of course ALL ADORE; a couple being mosquitoes and mice.

Mice started reproducing much earlier in the year than they normally would, like other critters who produce in the spring.

Hey do you blame them? Everyone here enjoys a mild Winter. Why wouldn't they?

So with that being said, if you are noticing that increase please give us a call, or simply send us a message!

We look forward to assisting you!

Hope Everyone had an Amazing Halloween! 🎃

Speaking of Halloween, here are some Spider Facts you may otherwise not have known about if you weren't of course, tuning into Red Wing Pest Control😉

This Image is a Giant south Carolina Wolf Spider, they are indeed found In this area and this particular little guy was found just across the border in Wisconsin!

A fact directly related to Wolf spiders is instead of webs, they tend to Burrough themselves into the ground. Attacking predators from beneath the surface! Creepy huh?

In regards to other arachnids, the webs they create are actually protein, in a liquid form.

Spiders are in a class known as arthropods, which also includes ticks, scorpions and mites!

Though most spiders are creepy to look at, they also help a ton in controlling the more annoying insect population such as mosquitoes and flies.

Just like any other insect though, as the colder months approach you will be finding these guys in your home.

Give us a call today at Red Wing Pest Control! We can help!😉

Did you know?

What is this little critter on the left? She isn't a mosquitoe but sure gives a wild bite.

NOSEEUMS.

We've been getting quite the calls regarding these guys over the last couple weeks. Like mosquitoes they depend on blood to reproduce. They are attracted to the smell of Human skin; Carbon dioxide, lactic acid, and the heat produced by people.

They pack a much bigger/more painful and itchy bite then mosquitoes due to their saw-like teeth. Often they attack your neck and shoulders, and bites will tend to be much closer together.

Unlike mosquitoes they are known for noseeums because you won't see them biting you but they sure will leave evidence behind within the following hours!

Noseeums are most often seen, early morning or just at dusk and are most populated Late spring/Early Summer and Late summer/Early fall.

A dehumidifier can help lessen your chances of these little guys invading your home on top of eliminating light sources when going in or coming out of your home!

Give us a call today if you've noticed bites similar to the man's on the right, we've got you covered! 😉
