From Floor to finished! Part 5

10x16 Premier Portable buildings Cottage shed build part 5!
After the building leaves the paint bay it is time for painting!

At premier we use a high quality ultra durable Urethane coating! We apply paint in even coats for a one durable and beautiful finish!!

After spraying is completed..trim is painted up and the door hardware installed and and the finishing touches put on the building!!

From here this building is ready for its last and final steps. The roofing bay! Were roofing is installed and the final steps completed!!

From Floor to finished! Part 4

After all the walls are lifted into place...work on the roof begins! The same standard 16" framing is used here to! Rafters are cut to length and securely nailed into place. At Premier we also use hurricane rated lag screws to securely fasten the rafters into place. After this, sheeting is nailed into place..here we are using 7/16 OSB sheeting!

After roof sheeting is complete..final steps begin!
The front overhang is finished and trimed out as well as all the corner trims installed!
After this The doors are installed and set correctly and door latches installed!

After this the building is cleaned out and tagged with the correct identification number! And that is a complete build!!

From here the building is now ready for painting!

From Floor to finished! Part 3

After endwalls are framed and stood..sidewalls window and door layouts are marked and laid out. After framing is completed..3/8in. LP is laid out and installed...window and door openings are routered out. And the window installed and trimed out. The door trim is also installed.

After the all the walls are completed...they are all lifted into place using the crane... and the corners secured and the wall plates nailed to the floor.

This build is now ready for the roof to be installed!
After roofing the building will be fully trimed out! After that step...this build is ready for the paint bay!!

From Floor to finished! Part 2

Endwall construction..a brief explanation!
After the floor system is completed..framing of the endwalls begins! We frame all of our walls with standard 16" stud spacing! With a double stud in every corner and every 4 ft.

After endwalls are layed out and framed! Siding is layed out on top! Here we are using our 3/8 LP Smartsiding! This product has a 50yr. Manufacturer warranty and we use this in every build except those that choose to have to metal Sided building! We offer that as well.

Siding is fastened into place and the excess routered off and discarded. After that trim is cut and installed! We pair the smartsiding product with LPs 31/2" Smart trim product..it has the same 50yr manufacturer warranty!

After the end walls are completed...one end wall is stood up and fastened to the floor of the building!

The other wall is lifted with a crane and moved out of the way to make way for side wall framing!

From Floor to finished!

Hello yall! Today I will be starting a series of posts showing a brief step by step on how your Your Premier Portable Building is constructed!!

This build is for a 10x16 Premier Cottage style building that we are constructing for Bob! The picture is an example of the building we will be starting here today!
This build will after completion be headed to its new home in Hastings,IA. Thankyou for your order Bob!

The floor!
The foundation of any building is crucial..that is why here at Premier we dont cut corners.

All of our floors from the smallest 8x8 cottage shed to the largest 16x54 Lofted Garage are built with this tried and tru floor system.

All of our floors are built onto 4x6 Pressure Treated skidrunners! From there Our Pressure treated 2x6 Floor Joists are installed and nailed in place!

All of our floors systems get floor joists on 16" centers! Except for garage models were we increase that to a joist every 12"!!

Finally after final squaring and fastening...our premium LP 5/8 Smartflooring is installed!! Final picture showing a completed floor!

Stay tuned for part 2 were we get all the walls layed out, framed, and set into place!
