STACY BOULEVARD- Acrylic on canvas 24' x 30", depicting a view of the Western Harbor in Gloucester Massachusetts. I had to hold off on posting this until I could present the painting to the happy recipients!

Every room in my client's 1940s home is dripping with glamour, and now the kitchen fits right in! The cabinets were painted white several years ago, along with a few other updates including a silver tin ceiling, new flooring, and champagne silver damask wallpaper. This year's evolution included creamy quartz countertops, small mother-of-pearl backsplash tiles, and my part- the most elegant update to the original cabinets! I used a fine layering of metallics in champagne gold, silver, and pearl, and I added pale gold to the handles as a soft contrast. The metallics reflect the light in multiple directions and now the kitchen shimmers from every angle!

If you've known me for awhile, you know that I have some very specific in-demand talents! I love these “forensics” projects! I spent a day on scaffolding yesterday for one of my clients, replicating a paint finish done 10 years ago by another artist. One section of the ceiling sustained water damage, was repaired, and needed to be repainted before the listing and open house this weekend! Here are some befores, durings and afters as I matched the other panels, and even replaced the missing wallpaper edges!

I love supporting fellow artists, I met at a festival in Baltimore last year. His work is so cool, and I knew I had to have something! It wasn't until we started renovating a bathroom that I realized I had the perfect spot for a few pieces! Jellyfish and seahorses, following the directional flow of the veins in the Carrera tile, but with an added element from me- because of course I had to paint SOMETHING! I painted a loose brushy copy of each outline in a range of greys behind each piece - but offset - to create a subtle shadowy impression. Now I'm happy to have some beautiful jellyfish in my life that are not trying to hurt me! Thank you Devin.

My latest very luxurious project! Gold finish tray ceiling in a home theater. Three different golds, strategically applied dark to light, over a golden ochre base coat. Flip through for some of the stages, the lying-on-the-floor-looking-up view, the colors, me at work, and my tool of choice- packing air pillow plastic for the perfect crinkle!

Another quick logo project. I made a template for this one, and matched the HEX colors to custom mixed acrylics. All set for the opening of the newest location for this Chiropractor/Physical Therapy practice.

Check the "before" picture for this one! Such a unique furniture piece, a secretary with drawers and a glass shelved showcase. It was solid grey/blue with some wear, and a bright floral applied decal on the door. I toned it all down with a deep gold dry-brush and some solid gold on the carved areas and shelf edges. I sanded down and whitewashed the floral panels before adding gold. Now it fits the soft dreamy feeling of the room, and is ready to be filled and used as my client's spiritual altar.

Bright and bold re-do of this fun dining area. The pale lavender seating was replaced by a colorful mismatched set of chairs. The antique tabletop had been worn, nicked and damaged over the years and was painted, not by me, with faint delicate flowers at the corners (see before picture). I repaired and refinished the table top and legs as needed, and repainted the flowers by going over the existing ones, adding more leaves and flower clusters using the bright colors to match the new chairs. I then finished the whole table with a protective satin varnish.

Vacation views from the kitchen! Updates to this kitchen dining area included new paint colors with a 5" shadow stripe, and a beautiful view from two faux windows! My client put together a bunch of inspiration pictures from - and similar to - her vacations, and we pulled a little from each. The simple window frame is the same as the trim in the rest of the house.

New homeowners did not want to mount a TV on this beautiful stone fireplace, and wanted a nice clean look. They replaced the coverplates with flat metal and I did the rest!
