🚧 A FIRST FOR MARTIN UNDERGROUND AND ABC HEART OF AMERICA! 🦺🎉

Yesterday evening marked an exciting milestone as we officially kicked off our very first ABC Heart of America Apprenticeship Program!💪

We're proud to launch this new opportunity to invest in the future of the construction industry by helping develop skilled tradespeople through hands-on experience, classroom instruction, and industry-focused training.

This is the beginning of something great, and we're excited to see our apprentices learn, grow, and build successful careers in the skilled trades!

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make this possible. The future of our industry starts here! 🛠️

Martin Underground was proud to participate in the North Kansas City School District Career Fair, alongside an incredible group of colleges, trade schools, and industry professionals.

It was great to connect with so many students who were curious about careers in the skilled trades and the opportunities available right here in our industry. We were especially excited by the number of students who signed up to receive more information about careers with Martin Underground!

The future of the underground utility industry is bright -- and it starts with introducing the next generation to the possibilities.💪

🚧 Getting the Next Generation Excited About Construction! 🚧

Last Wednesday, Martin Underground had the opportunity to participate in Career on Wheels with the Lee's Summit School District! 👷💪

We had a great time introducing 3rd grade students to the world of underground construction and showing them some of the equipment that helps make our work possible. A special shoutout to our local Ditch Witch partner, John, for joining us and helping showcase the Ditch Witch equipment! 💪

It was awesome seeing the students' curiosity, excitement, and all the great questions they had. Who knows -- we may have met future operators, fiber specialists, or construction professionals! 🚜🔧

We're proud to be part of events that give students a hands-on look at the many career opportunities available in the construction industry.

🪨 ROCK SHOT UNDER THE CREEK. 🪨

This wasn't your average bore.

Our crew successfully completed a 15' deep rock shot under an existing creek, drilling from a deep box culvert crossing and executing a controlled profile to bring the bore up exactly where it needed to surface.

This shot required tight steering, accurate tracking, proper tooling, and constant communication between the driller and the locator to maintain line and grade through difficult subsurface conditions.

Working in rock and coming up from a deep culvert takes more than horsepower -- it takes experience, tooling tracking and knowing how to read the bore.

Another tough shot successfully completed by Martin Underground Construction.

🚧 ANOTHER ONE IN THE BOOKS! 🚧

Martin Underground Construction successfully completed a challenging rock bore for KDOT -- a project that had previously been attempted by four other contractors without success.

Our team took of the challenge and successfully completed the rock shot in less than one week. 💪

This is what experience, expertise, the right equipment, and a team that refuses to quit looks like.

Our goal is to complete every project on schedule and without unnecessary setbacks, and our project managers are what make that possible. Before work begins, they confirm permits are secured, utility locates are current, and any access or easement issues are resolved. Once crews are on site, they coordinate schedules across contractors, inspectors, and municipalities to keep work moving without conflicts. They serve as the primary point of contact in the field, so questions get answered quickly and small issues don't turn into costly delays. Throughout the job, they track progress against the schedule and budget, adjusting plans as underground conditions change. Strong project management keeps crews safe, keeps clients informed, and ensures every job is completed efficiently and to specification.
