Today, Officer Owen responded to a call involving a citizen in need of assistance after experiencing vehicle troubles. As he was assessing the situation, the crew from Green Space Landscaping, who happened to be working nearby, noticed the individual needed help and immediately stepped in to lend a hand.

The Green Space Landscaping team generously provided fuel for the stranded motorist, and Officer Owen was then able to get the vehicle started and safely back on the road. Thanks to their quick action and willingness to help, what could have been a stressful situation was resolved in just a matter of minutes.

Moments like these remind us that public safety is truly a community effort. While police officers are often the first to respond when someone needs assistance, it is the kindness, compassion, and generosity of community members that make Westport such a special place to live.

The Westport Police Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the crew at Green Space Landscaping for their willingness to stop what they were doing and help a citizen in need. Your actions reflect the very best of our community and demonstrate how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

We recently serviced an overgrown yard that had not been mowed in over a year. The customer requested our assistance, and I assured her that we would effectively refresh her yard.
