I first want to say how blessed we are with wonderful customers. We have received notice that our orders will be slowing down. We have always and still do order as early as possible for our jobs. We are not sure at this time how much this is going to slow us up on our schedule hopefully not a lot. Just want all of you on the schedule to know we are doing all we can to keep on time. We want to thank each and everyone of you. Below is a letter from our supplier.
To our loyal partners,
I want to express my sincere apologies that CS has not been able to fulfill our promise to improve your business and be Right, On Time, Every time. Lately, we have not served you in the way that you and your customers have come to expect. This has been a trying year. 2020 began with the uncertainty due to COVID, followed by a pause in construction while permits and businesses were restricted, and finally the release of pent-up demand that has caused unprecedented demands on the steel supply and manufacturing capacity. On top of this, labor shortages in the manufacturing sectors have affected the country as we try to hire an adequate level of staff to serve our customers in the peak months. With recent steel increases and the remaining construction season, I fully expect the next 90 days to continue operating at historical demands. For example, in one of our plants, a typical day in September will produce 100,000 feet of panels. Our max capacity in that plant in 24 hours is 130,000 feet while we are routinely receiving daily orders that total 160,000 feet.
