Sometimes when you're trying to catch one specific animal, another curious critter decides it wants to be part of the action! 😄

This little snapper wasn't on the list, but apparently he felt the need to check out the beaver trap for himself. After a quick look-over, he was safely released and sent on his way.

And he's not the only frequent visitor around here. We also have a green heron that's become quite the regular, stopping by numerous times a day and constantly setting off the camera.

Between our feathered inspector and this shelled surprise guest, you never know what you're going to find or see on the trap camera.

It's all part of the adventure and one of the things that makes wildlife so interesting. 🐢🦆❤️

When checking a woodchuck trap alongside Eric, I (Angelica) felt a strong intuition that we were being observed. As I glanced up, I noticed a pregnant female mouse watching my every move within an old utility pole. It was captivating to watch her, and I was pleased that her home was situated in the pole out in the great outdoors and not in a residential home.
